Tell me the truth. When homework time comes around your entire mood changes? I know what this feels like. Throughout the years I’ve learned to allow my children to find their homework style and remembering that they will not always arrive at the correct answer on the first try.
What do I mean by homework style? Maybe they enjoy reading first versus math. Okay, so allow them to do what they enjoy first. Maybe the math strategy you are using is not helpful to them and the one their teacher has shown them works for them, then let them use the strategy that works for them. Homework does not always have to get done on a table. Think about it, our children are sitting and working on a table all day at school. What is the problem with doing HW on the rug or like my youngest daughter has done a FEW times, homework on the bathroom floor lol
